FAQs

What should I wear?

For the Big Bash itself, wear your glad rags! Anything you feel fabulous and able to dance comfortably in! Kilts, big puffy white dresses, Chelsea boots, etc! Bonus points if you are sporting a bit of turquoise- but no pressure!

UK to US translation "glad rags" informal•British English

Clothes for a special occasion; one's best or most showy clothes.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors

Weather permitting, our ceremony will be outside in the courtyard, reception inside in the barn. If need be, both will be indoors!

What kind of shoes should I wear?

Please put your comfort over style- wear shoes you can dance the night away in, and remember our venue is very outdoorsy, so something to keep your feet mud-free is a bonus!

I'm coming from out of town, where should I stay?

With so many loved ones travelling to Scotland, we picked this venue because it has accommodation for nearly 70 people on-site, and that's not including the camping options! Out-of-towners, please check our Stay with us and Travel pages for more info.

Will there be any activities outside of the wedding that I should know about?

For all guests staying in the Wedding Steading we are excited to share Friday night dinner, and Saturday & Sunday breakfasts with you too!
All guests who are staying at the Wedding Steading, camping at Comrie Croft or staying within walking distance, may also join us for pre-wedding yoga on Saturday and
post-wedding Sauna on Sunday.

**If you choose to camp and want in on the meals with us let us know!

What time will the party end?

11:30 pm to be safe. By 11:59 pm we must all be out of the barn and in our accommodations to be respectful of the campers not in on the wedding fun!

What will the weather be like?

It might be sunny and warm, then wet, then snowing, then hot- who knows- it's Scotland! Pack layers to be prepared for all sorts of weather especially if spending the wedding weekend with us.

Where should I park?

There is plenty of free parking on site at Comrie Croft.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Everyone should be able to enjoy Comrie Croft, whatever their mobility. If you require specific information, please get in touch.
