International guests
Most guests coming from outside the UK will need to get an electronic travel authorisation (ETA).
An ETA costs £16. Apply for an ETA here on the offical UK Government website.

Getting around Edinburgh
From the airport to the city, we recommend using the tram
For getting around the city, you can walk, ride the bus or get an Uber.
The best app for helping you decide what mode of transportation to use is Citymapper.
To ride the bus, use Apple Pay, Google Pay or a contactless bank card to "tap on." There is no need to tap your card again as you exit the bus.
Ben & Elena's top sites to see
If you plan to spend a bit of time in our beautiful city of Edinburgh, here are a few things we recommend you see.
The stunning extinct volcano towering over the centre of the city. Only takes about 30 minutes to hike to the top- but please be sure-footed as there isn't an official path.
This is the centre of Edinburgh's Old Town, linking the Castle to the palace. Filled with souvenir shops, bag pipers and pretty views! Stop off at St. Giles Cathedral and the Tron Makers Market while you're here.
The royal palace still in use. If you want to see beautifully decorated royal rooms, this is the ticket to pay for. There are often exhibitions too!
This street was the inspiration for "Diagon Alley" of Harry Potter fame. Personally, I'd skip the Harry Potter Shops and check out the Red Door Gallery for beautiful designs by local artists.
Stunning exterior that looms over the city. If you are more into military history than pretty rooms, this is the ticket to pay for. Personally, I prefer the exteriors and the view from its esplanade at the top of the Royal Mile, no ticket needed!
One of the most "instagrammable" spots in our city- absolutely stunning in its springtime bloom and around the corner from the wonderful Stockbridge High Street in Edinburgh's New Town.
